custom animation: controls how words are introduced on a slide

design template: preformatted background, text color, etc.

print views: includes slides, handouts, outline, and notes; may print in pure black and white to save ink

slide sorter: a view of the presentation that lets individual slides be rearranged, hidden, or transitions to be applied

transition: controls how slides are introduces

tab-shift tab: as with Word outlines, used to increase or decrease the indent within the outline structure

outline view: a view of the presentation that shows the current slide, and the outline of the rest of the presentation
