Typically, when you copy/paste... you are simply embedding a snapshot of the way something looked.
But sometimes what you took a screenshot of changes... but not the screenshot.
This can be fixed with OLE.
• Copy Excel
chart, by right clicking up near a corner
• in Word, choose the arrow under Paste, then select Paste Special, then select Paste Link to the Excel chart object.
• Changes
made in Excel chart will now automatically change in Word
