Fireside Dreams © R. Craig Collins, 1995, 2005/6
The logs crackle, pop, and settle, the glow warms up the night; outside the snow flakes lightly dance, inside it is just right. inside, a steamy mug; the blanket outside is moon white, inside, we're curled upon the rug. gazing beyond the trees; getting lost in the view of the stars, as music colors the breeze. all nature reigns above; while within the cabin, just two, lost in our spring of love. settled among the pines; celebrate our love again, sweet- if only in our minds. until we are no more; I want to spend my life with you, the one I'll ere adore. |
